Kimberly

kids yoga & baby sign language

Kimberly brings her passion for children's wellbeing and love for mindfulness to her role at Uphoria. Her dedication to the Dr. Greene philosophy of "children do well if they can" underscores her holistic approach to nurturing children's growth. Over the past decade, she has immersed herself in understanding and applying holistic models to enhance children's lives, always with a focus on respecting their autonomy and spirit.

Kimberly’s personal journey with yoga began 12 years ago, initially as a way to cultivate self-compassion and deepen her self-awareness. After completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2022, she discovered a profound healing experience and was inspired to share her insights with others. Her teaching experience spans studios in Kelowna and Vancouver, as well as providing yoga for Special Olympics. She particularly enjoys leading restorative flow classes, finding them to be a harmonious blend of strength and relaxation.

Kimberly's academic experience has informed the way she structures and guides her classes. She loves supporting students to further develop their own mind-body connections, establish balance, and align in ways that extend beyond their mats. Kimberly is passionate that everyone can benefit from a yoga practice and her offerings include plenty of options in line with a trauma-informed approach, so that every body and ability can meet themselves on their mat.

Kimberly is excited to join the Üphoria team! She looks forward to learning from the children she will connect with, nurturing their love for yoga and in turn, for themselves.
